
Tahmina Kamal
Intensive English Instructor
Tahmina Kamal has a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Guelph and an M.S. in Applied Linguistics from Texas A&M. She used to work extensively in the pharmaceutical industry before making a career change to ESL after immigrating to the United States. She has been teaching English since 2016 and has been at Green River since 2023. Over her time here she has taught level 2 in the IEP program, but she is currently teaching Academic Bridge. She enjoys watching her students become part of the Green River community and learning to become better academic students and building their confidence using English alongside Americans.
Besides English, she also speaks Bengali, French and Spanish. She has lived in several countries in her lifetime, including Canada, Argentina and Spain. She also likes to watch soccer, try out new and unique recipes and sew her own clothes in her spare time.
